The first information on findings of fossils in the supraore sequence in the open pit at the Syrostan talcomagnesite deposit in the southern Urals is reported. The remains of colonial corals (Tabulata) indicate the Visean age of the coaly-carbonate sequence that overlies talcomagnesite.
